BEARS REMAIN UNBEATEN

The Bears maintained their 100% league record with a closely fought 3-2 win at St Helens. Goals from Reaney and Haddrell (penalty) were countered by 2 equalisers before Mark Beeston’s last gasp winner secured the three points. They followed that with a battling display at Curzon Ashton in the FA Cup last Saturday to come away with a 0-0 draw and a replay at Booth Street on 31^st August.

The reserves lost 2-1 at home to Grappenhall Sports before recording their first win of the season, 4-3 at home to Moore United last Saturday.

The first team are away at Parkgate on Saturday 4^th September KO 3pm in the FA Vase and if the game ends in a draw, the replay is at Booth Street on Tuesday 7^th September KO 3pm,. Failing that, the Bears are at home to Flixton on 7^th September KO 7.45pm.

The reserves are at home on September 4^th KO 3pm against Barnton and away on 11^th September KO 3pm at Grappenhall Sports
